1. ARRANGER The song was arranged, mixed, and mastered by Polysonic Recording Studio, owned by Mr. Henry Alburo, also known as DJ Squammy, who is the creator of the song, "Bawal Lumabas" (The Classroom Song) of Kim Chiu. It's just a pure online conversation and brainstorming. From a series of drafts and revisions, Dence Unwired and DJ Squammy came up with an awesome pop alternative song. Beautiful concept and great production. Mr. Alburo also did some back up vox and emphasized the word, "Mamaya" in the song. [PHOTO: Youtube Thumbnail of Twinsies Vlog] |
2. ARTWORK The digital artwork/thumbnail of the released song was designed and created by Dence Sadim. Every components were taken from his own photo folders (refer below). The concept was visualized from the movie, "Over The Moon" and from a usual illustrated poster of "Wolf and Moon". Why moon? Well, it was based from the lyrics -- where we can feel the magic and accent of the song, "...at dadalhin pa kita sa buwan". The eight sparks symbolizes eighth day of the eighth month (Dence and his wife's anniversary). |
This is the second official digital release of Dence Unwired. Where the first one was "Lab Istori". Supposed to be, there's one song, which was set to be released before "Mamaya". The title is "Sorry Na". But due to some delays, and marketing strategy analysis and timing, Dence Unwired decided to push "Mamaya" as his second release. Why? It's a perfect time to write and share a song like, "Mamaya kumpleto nanaman ang araw ko. Makikita na kita!" The period of social distancing caused by this global pandemic, put relationships into a new normal -- cyber communication only (video calls). But of course, we really long for our loved ones -- we want to hold them; we want to kiss them. Not at this moment in time. Just like the song goes... "Mamaya!" "Teka muna!" "Sandali lang!".
4. ANG HILING On the second verse of the song, there's this line, "Mamaya aawitin ko ang kantang, 'Ang Hiling'. Uulit-ulitin ko sa iyo." That song here refers to one of the original unreleased songs of Dence Unwired, which is "Ang Hiling". This was the very first song he dedicated to his wife. Which was also his entry to the first Philpop Songwriting Contest way back year 2012. "Ang Hiling" was composed year 1998, where the original title was, "Mahal" and then revised and re-titled by March 2012. |
5. JOLLIBEE "Jollibee" is also included in the lyrics. One of Dence Unwired dreams and goals is to make a jingle for that number one fast-food chain in the Philippines. The tune is quite jolly which is really inspired by some of Jollibee's jingles. Dence and his wife's favorite is Chicken Joy, since courtship and boyfriend/girlfriend stage. That is why, the song's story also tells the early love story of the couple. |
Dence Unwired was inspired by the music videos of Obet Rivera and Joel Jabelosa. Which leads to his desire to research and study the art of video making thru the use of green screen for the lyric music video of "Mamaya". Dence initially tried to experiment this technique on his Children Song Challenge entry, "Aloha Mathematics" for Madhouse Radio Show. After gaining positive feedbacks, he applied the technique at Mamaya. Dence is basically a newbie user of green screen technique (chroma keyer - Sony Vegas).
7. IRON MAN SCENE
From the music video of Mamaya, at the intro, you can see the Iron Man inspired clip. That scene was taken from their family vlog, entitled "Social Media Age" (Sadim Lite Family Journal Weekly Vlog Season 3 Episode 10). The idea was to prepare a setting that will support the imagination of going to the moon (with Iron Man).
8. SEVEN YEARS
Mamaya was shared to Facebook, September 2013. And coincidentally, it was released September 2020. Which is exactly 7 years after its social media appearance.
