Music in sports? Yes! A song writing competition on UAAP Season 75! And this year's theme is "Unbreakable". This contest is open to professional or non-professional songwriters or musicians (You can click the image to check out the link). Dence wants a different taste of music making, and this time venturing sports' jingle. After he learned the announcement from a fellow songwriter, he tried to write some Tagalog lines about the theme; putting some tunes for the song. But due to some recall failure, he forgot the whole tunes of his composition. Shared his sentiment to another songwriter, Leslie Navarro, who is also having a predicament joining the competition. He got a lot of tunes in mind but he's having difficulty writing the best words for a sporty song. From that moment, history begins.
Dence rolled down his lyrics while Leslie implanted his cool tune for 30 minutes. Using the web, they designed the song with their strong desires of winning this piece. First, they titled the song as "Tagumpay". Dence arranged the beats, instruments, and vocals. Came up with his rough demo. Sent it to his partner (Leslie) for comments and suggestions. It took them four mp3 samples while Leslie edited some parts of the lyrics until rendered the last take.
First jingle of Dence and Leslie. This is a 1:30 song. They dance with the beat of their song and thought of changing the title to: "Araw ng Tagumpay". Do want to hear it now? Click the title below and feel the winning moment through this song.
